EmpiriStat Invited to Participate on Johns Hopkins Panel
On Wednesday, 26 August 2009, EmpiriStat’s founder, Nicole C. Close, PhD, will join several other invited professionals at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions (JHMI) for a panel to discuss Careers in Consulting. The panel is aimed at students who are not sure what roles scientists and clinicians perform in the consulting sector. Dr. Close will discuss EmpiriStat’s current projects and provide strategies on how to best position one’s self for a career in consulting.
Dr. Close joins: Tom Boulay, PhD, Consultant for ZS Associates; Asha Collins, PhD, Senior Consultant for Deloitte; and Lauren Oby, Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
The sponsor of the event, The Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Association (JHPDA), was formed in 1992 to improve the daily life and morale of fellows at JHMI, consists entirely of postdoctoral fellows, and has been officially recognized by the University since 1994.
